Description

Chuck Jones is now 100 years old and I decided to do a tribute for him, since he IS one of my inspirations and everyone else's! Decided to draw one of my characters from MARVIN & MIKE as the characters he create or animate:

Marvin as Michigan J. Frog.

Josephine as Penelope Pussycat

And Mike as the Grinch

You're the best, Chuck!

NOTE: A history behind him! It's the same as the journal, but you don't have to! You can read it on the journal or here!

From the journal of "100 Years of Chuck Jones":

"Today is the birthday of Charles Martin Jones, known as CHUCK JONES!!! Born on September 21, 1912!!!!

He is the one who created one of your favorite Looney Tunes characters:

Pepe Le Pew

Marvin the Martian

Claude the Cat

Marc Anthony

Michigan J. Frog

His famous: The Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote

And many more!

He made famous cartoons in Warner Brothers like: WHAT'S OPERA, DOC?, ONE FROGGY EVENING, DUCK AMUCK, ROBIN HOOD DAFFY, DUCK DODGERS, and etc.

He also made cartoons and films with everyone's favorite cartoonist and author: Theodore "Seuss" Geisel. aka. Dr. Seuss. They both did PRIVATE SNAFU, some cartoons for the soldiers during World War II. Chuck does the animation while Dr. Seuss (you know what he does) makes the verses. Also, they both did HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS and HORTON HEARS A WHO.

He also did animated short films and/ movies based on other books: THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH, RIKKI TIKKI TAVI, THE JUNGLE BOOK (not the Disney one), THE WHITE SEAL, and others.

He also did the animated segment for a 1992 horror comedy film, STAY TUNED.

Chuck Jones also created a cartoon, dedicated to his friend of the Terrance Termite and Warner Brothers animator who died on 1995, which features Yosemite Sam and Bugs Bunny, FROM HARE TO ETERNITY. This cartoon was IN MEMORY of FRIZ FRELENG. Although, he did more cartoons in his life until February 22, 2002.

At that time, there was a show called THE CHUCK JONES SHOW and they presented a tribute for him as Cartoon Network replied, "We'll Miss You"

Chuck Jones was one of the last ones of the Terrace Termites!

CHUCK JONES (September 21, 1912 - February 22, 2002)

Time to celebrate the memory of Chuck Jones as he is now 100 years, even he died at age 89.

Anyway, Happy 100th Birthday and Anniversary, Chuck!!!
