A Sham Showdown...

Yesterday, when I finish up that piece that had the Dewshall Mineshaft, I had a fun idea of a fictional Old Town like you would see in those old Western movies. You recall seeing any village or some town square in movies like with John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and many other famous movie stars in Western cinemas? Well, I am happy to come up this one to add in for some made up places for the TC series.

In this comic, we see something going on in the Vasquez Flats Town Square, established in 1850. You recall those moments or scenes when you have a sheriff and a threat to a town (like a rogue close to Billy the Kid or Jessie James) going into a showdown at a particular time. And then you have the "DRAW!" moment to pull out their guns?

Well, looks like Carlos isn't pleased to see this cliche taken place, feeling like those new sheriffs in this Town Square are actually like Clint Eastwood wannabes or John Waynes amateurs. Even the victorious yet unseen human outlaw finds it ridiculous....

Note: Not giving too much details, but Vasquez was my maiden name of my grandmother on my mother's side. I do like to use my mother's maiden name, NINO, but I have no idea what to pull out for it. But when it comes to those Spanish surnames, I thought they would be perfect for some name of places in the West, due to the West was once part of Mexico for an obvious fact. Plus, 1850 is from the idea and a fact my grandma was born in 1950. So I thought of backing up to 100 years later.
