Ripped Off From China

Description

"MADE IN CHINA"

That's one of those products would say.

You know what else is made in China?

Some mediocre rip offs out of some of the most beloved movies, cartoons, games, and even toys. It's inevitable that we see most of those copyright-infringed copycats are, notably, from places like China. There are various examples like how some Chinese production take something from Disney or even from Nintendo. Most folks would recall the rip off of that Cartoon Network show, THE AMAZING WORLD OF GUMBALL by Ben Bocquelet, which basically takes the same concept, but with some changes that are not that strong enough. Even a rip off out of a Dreamworks film, KUNG FU PANDA with those like "Chop Kick Panda". Goodness me, there are millions of rip offs or some copy cat things in there.

Now, take note that I have nothing against China in general. China is brilliant with its culture, art, history, etc. Something like making rip offs is just very common from there.  Of course, there are others like from Russia, Brazil, and many more. So no malice intended as I am making fun of this detail on the rip offs.

Now this made me think up some fun idea for tonight's TC image.

Imagine if there is some rip off in China that takes in the concept of Troublesome Critters, except in a Chinese setting or version. The Xavier in this happens to be a chow chow with a snout shaped like a blade of an ax. As Ruby in this one, she isn't a rubberado at all. She looks like some rubbery and criss-crossed panda. Not to mention the title in Chinese, "可怕的事情" means in English, "TERRIBLE THINGS". Just like something you would expect from a cheesy knock off.

Well, this really disgusts Xavier. Archimedes is right about that. Sometimes you have rip offs or copycats in the hopes of making finances by milking out something very successful. Ruby sure does not like the idea of being depicted as a panda bear. It makes her feel fat.

Well, speaking of that, I can sure go for a pepper steak meal and some egg drop soup in a Chinese restaurant right now! Who's up for Chinese?

Speaking of Gumball... I think it appeared on the episode "The Copycats".
