I Always Wanted One
By Josiah Shockency

I was happy to hear this,
Happy to be a son,
To hear an unborn child near,
I always wanted one…

I always want a brother,
Or a sister to play,
It was quite expected,
But boy, what a great day…

It’s only nine months away,
So that means it’s undone,
So me, as a big brother,
I always wanted one…

My parents never saw me,
Filled with pep and such joy,
I may not know whether if,
It’s a girl or boy…

Five days later, I was still,
The dear happiest one,
I just cannot wait for it,
I always wanted one…

One day, my parents told me,
And my two windows rain,
They told me they abort it,
It’ll nevermore regain…

They say they killed the unborn,
“At the clinic, my son”,
Now I was no longer big,
I always wanted one…

They said they didn’t want one,
They were happy for one,
Just only one child, that’s me,
But I ran off and gone…

My parents frowned to see me,
All traumatized and gone,
I was in my room, crying,
“I always wanted one!!!”

I always wanted a bro,
Or a sis, for the least,
But abortions are allowed,
One would be a beast…

How could I ever forgive,
No light was ever shone,
“Thou shall not kill” I, too, cried,
“I always wanted one…”

My parents stood there, all blue,
They thought having just him,
Was enough instead of two,
But they were wrong by sin…

How will I forget my woe,
What has my parents done?
They killed my brother or sis,
I always wanted one…

I suppose a young couple,
Plans their first, and forget,
They got rid of it and then,
One day, they will regret…

They say it does not count if,
You kill a thing undone,
To me, it’s a living child,
I always wanted one…

I’m not so sure want to do,
My bro or sis, away,
Either we will meet again,
That would be for someday…

But here on earth, cries are heard,
Some don’t mind the undone,
I hope they’ll understand cuz,
I always wanted one…

Before you folks read this, I must inform you ladies and gentlemen that this is an anti-abortion related poem. For those of you who agreed on abortions, I recommend you folks that this is due to my convection. Hope no offense would be taken, but for those who have this feeling down in their hearts, I'm glad you get the point. Like I said, as for the rest who don't, that is your choice yet I cannot argue your opinions. I would appreciate if you give me the same respect! Thank you...

This is a story about a boy who was excited to hear a that the mother and father were expecting another child. The boy became excited, because that means he's going to be a big brother. Days later, they told him that they aborted it, which broke his heart and ran off to his room, traumatized by the loss due to the decisions on abortions.

Also, it is Christian-related, since abortions are against the faith of a Christian!

I almost cried reading this! Abortion, what a horrible word!
