After walking a few miles away from the wedding, he rests at a road sign, mentioning other names of neighboring countries. That's when a rumble is detected.

There he is; the Thunder Giant!

Now is the time for the Rainbow Cat to confront him...

Artist's Note: After that first attempt on the giant from page 2, I went for this version instead. As I mention from back there, a sketch "based on a witness description'. Plus, names like TREEGOBLINLAND and the Bountiful Land are foreshadowing references to the cat's further adventure. If you look closely or think for a moment at those signs that said, "19 MILES" and "22 MILES", you'll see the year, 1922. That's the year when the stories of the Rainbow Cat were first published.
