I feel like an old fossil. This place doesn’t feel like home anymore. It feels more like a façade for people who are too lazy to create anything and are only interested in making a fast buck. With DeviantART promoting its sham AI art generator, more people are abandoning this “ship” like this was May 2020, when Eclipse was uploaded for the first time. I doubt the administration will ever listen to anyone, even me. They’d probably see me as some insignificant artist or an obscure has-been who in drawing and writing. In fact, I felt like I’d been sold-out by the admin and those who start using the generator on a daily basis. If I’m gonna be honest, I felt betrayed and tossed out by those I trusted or watched. This place should be renamed DeviantAI or DubiousART. Because nobody wants to join a website that views its clients as knick-knacks or how Lotso from Toy Story 3 said, “just trash waiting to be thrown away”. If I wasn’t so drawn to all the memories I made here and those who remained here regardless, I’d give up being a member of this godforsaken excuse of a "art community" website. I didn’t think this place would go to pot in 14 years (since the year I joined this place in 2010).

What does DA care? They don’t care about copyright. They don’t care about the people. They don’t care about those who dedicated their lives to art and writing. They don’t give a squat about anything. Only themselves, their money, and their scam for a generator.

Yep, that's how old I am now! Here's to another "New Year" to me! Another birthday, that is.

I get you folks are awfully anxious to see how I’ve been doing these past few weeks. The fact is the last time I uploaded a picture was back on Sunday, January 14th and I haven’t posted anything since that day. Well, if you folks remember, I’m a freelance independent author, thanks to Kindle Direct Publishing from Amazon. Ever since I first published The Ballad of Senor Don Gato (August 2021), I found myself interested in doing more books in the future. And if you recall, last summer, I released my latest book based on H. G. Wells’ TIME MACHINE and I took some time off away from this book-writing business to recharge my battery. You get the idea. Ever since the dawn of the new year, I’ve been juggling my choices on what my next book should be about. Indeed, I’m interested in producing a sequel to the Time Machine, but I still need more pieces to put together. But then, I was looking back at my gallery, and I happened to remember a set of pixelated artworks for a video game I’ve been hoping to make someday. That’s when I remember I created a document that’s a story based on video game concept and pixel-art. You guys remember those pixelated images with a title called Rooftop Row (2021)? The one with that fox and that cat in lavender having a date on the roof?

On the same year I made Rooftop Row and published Don Gato, I got into turning that game idea into a storybook on the month of September. Originally, I intended to make it into a rhyming story like Dr. Seuss. But after looking back at it on January this year, I had a feeling this might make the story too “long-winded”. So, when I got into working onto story again, I decided to just write it in prose instead. Besides, there’s so much for me to add to make this much more… fetching!

Perhaps if there’s time, I’d be more than happy to feature you concept art I’ve been making for Rooftop Row, along with some new additions on MS-Paint. So, stay tuned, my fellow audience. 😉

They're going to the Super Bowl this year!

Expect the game to air on Sunday, February 11th.

Any of you curious about the Super Bowl so far? 🏈

The Ravens beat the Texans (34 – 10) while the 49ers took down the Packers (24 – 21).

Not only that, but the Lions also ravaged the Buccaneers (31 – 23) and the Chiefs crushed the Bills (27 – 23).

Coming this Sunday (January 28th), we’re gonna see who will be the two lucky teams that will attend the Super Bowl on February 11.

In the AFC Championship Games, it’ll be the Chiefs vs the Ravens.

As for the NFC Championship Game, it’s the Lions vs the 49ers.
